Dear Reader,
Good to have you here.
We’ve got a nice mix for you this time: a look at what we’ve been posting, two handy new pages on our website, and a couple of application guides for those tricky “how do I even mount a sensor here?” situations.
Let’s jump in. 👇
Thanks for reading,
The Rheonics Team
In case you missed it 📢
A couple of highlights from our recent LinkedIn posts worth a look if they didn't reach your feed:
1. A field guide to hazardous-area zones ⚠️
Zone 2 device in a Zone 1 line? That’s a safety violation, not a paperwork slip. Our new guide decodes zones, protection methods, and how ATEX, IECEx, FM, CSA & NEPSI fit together.
2. Keeping data-center coolant in check❄️
Glycol shifts, biofilm, rising viscosity — coolant changes over time. See how SRV & SRD catch it early, for direct-to-chip and immersion cooling.
New on our site: two new pages worth a look.
1. ReCircLine™ System — measure where a probe can’t go
Some tanks and lines simply won’t allow a direct sensor probe — maybe a mixer fills the vessel, or the fluid is too sticky or shear-sensitive. ReCircLine solves that: it pulls a small, controlled slipstream through a recirculation loop with an SRV sensor inside, giving you stable, repeatable viscosity and temperature readings without touching your main process flow.
Perfect for mixing vessels, small reactors, and shear-sensitive or fouling-prone fluids
Three flow modes (continuous, pulse, intermittent) for reliable, steady-state readings
Siemens PLC + touchscreen HMI, and a portable 17 kg cabinet that’s easy to service
Measures up to 250,000 cP, with the outlet routed back to process, to tank, or to waste
2. Ordering Code Guide — decode any Rheonics part number
Ever looked at a code like SRV-SS-EXIA-V2-T1-P2-X1 and wished you had a decoder ring? Now you do. Our new Ordering Code Guide breaks down every segment — sensor type, material, certification, ranges, connections, cables, and accessories — so you can read, validate, or build any Rheonics order code with confidence.
Segment-by-segment breakdown for SRV, SRD, DVP & DVM
Includes electronics, communication protocols, and cable options
Your single source of truth when specifying or double-checking a configuration

Tricky installation? These two guides show how Rheonics sensors fit where standard mounting won’t:
🔄 Mounting SRV & SRD on a rotating mixer shaft — When blades or scrapers block every conventional mounting point, you can put the sensor right on the mixer shaft itself. This guide walks through the adapter, slip ring, and checks needed for reliable readings straight from a rotating shaft.
🛢️ Open-tank mounting made simple with the new TMA-TT adapter — Our new tank mount adapter lets a compact, standard-length probe reach deep into an open tank using off-the-shelf tubing — more flexibility, shorter lead times, and lower cost than a custom long probe.
Bookmark these — they’re the kind of guides you’ll come back to.
